Proposing for Christmas?
Christmas is fast-approaching, and if you have a special lady in your life, why not give her the gift of a diamond engagement ring? If you’re going to propose for Christmas, though, keep the following in mind:
1. Don’t propose just for the sake of proposing at Christmas. Look for signals to see if she’s ready to get married; talk to her friends and family and tell them you plan to propose but want to make sure the timing is right. The rest of the holidays could be super uncomfortable if she says no.
2. Decide whether you want it to be a family affair. If your close with each other’s families, consider getting everyone together for Christmas dinner and popping the question with your loved ones around. If you’re a more private couple, propose when the two of you are alone and save the announcements for the holidays.
3. Come up with a proposal that’s original and suited to your girl’s taste. This is going to be one of, if not the biggest moment of her life, so make it memorable. Most people proposing for Christmas give the diamond engagement ring as a gift and propose when she opens it, but you might come up with something even better!
