Reputable Jewelers Will Tell You, White Gold Is In
Yellow gold? Who wears that any more? It’s not the most popular choice as it once was. I remember as a kid, my mom had far more yellow gold jewelry than white gold or silver. It was a staple of her jewelry box and she told me it would be of mine as well. But I never liked yellow gold. I loved silver and that’s what I went with as a child. When I got older, I discovered white gold has the same kind of look as silver, only shinier and worth more. It’s beautiful.
Reputable jewelers can agree that white gold seems to be really in lately. Especially in choosing rings. White gold diamond engagement rings are popping up everywhere. They really are beautiful and the contrast with brightly colored gems is magnificent. It has a really refined look and unlike yellow gold, it seems to match with far more outfits.
I can only hope that when my future husband gets down on one knee, tells me how much he loves me, and asks me to marry him, that the engagement ring is white gold. If it’s yellow, I may have to reconsider my answer.
