Diamond District Jewelers, Reputable Jewelers, White Gold Diamond Engagement Rings and more…
Was anyone really shocked that Crystal Harris wasn’t going to marry Playboy Hugh Hefner? As if the whole mess wasn’t bad enough, Harris was spotted in a jewelry store in San Diego trying to pawn the $90,000 ring! After receiving the appraisal, the store owner asked for documentation on the ring. Harris then dialed the Playboy mansion and she was told that documents would eventually be sent to her. I guess Hugh has no problem taking the loss… The store owner expressed his sympathy for the breakup but Harris reportedly replied, “Are you kidding? It was all for publicity.”
So what is the right thing to do after your engagement is broken off? Do you keep the ring as a memento? Give it back to him? Sell it to a NYC jewelry store? There really is no answer because it’s a difficult situation. The most gracious thing to do is ask if he wants it back since he paid for it. If he insists you keep it, I don’t see the harm in selling it since you can never wear it.
Hopefully you won’t be put in this situation at all and you can keep your diamond engagement rings forever.
