Consider Matching Diamond Engagement Rings and Bands
Typically the men go in search of diamond engagement rings, desperately hoping they have made the right choice. Even if your future wife loves you, she may not be in love with the ring. And no one wants to deal with that awkward situation of accepting your proposal and asking if the ring can be returned or altered.
There is no shame, however, in proposing but not offering an actual ring or going beforehand to pick out a ring but be “surprised” as to when and where the actual testament of love will be given. Neither option may sound quite so romantic, but at least the woman will be in love with her new piece of jewelry. For those smart enough to shop together, consider picking out matching diamond engagement rings and bands. Traditionally the man picks out his bride-to-be’s ring and then he goes out later to choose the band. They usually don’t match, sometimes they don’t even look remotely alike if you have different tastes.
Matching rings and bands can be a wonderful choice and to better showcase your love for one another, after all, you can both agree on jewelry and that’s an accomplishment! It doesn’t solidify the marriage any more or guarantee a lifetime of happiness, but it’s yet another way to display the bond you have.
